Francesca Purcell

A proud graduate of James Madison University with a B.A. in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Francesca has enjoyed a 20-year career in hospitality. Highlights may include hawking seafood at Squid’s Fish Market in Chapel Hill, signing a hotel contract from Scrub Island while on her honeymoon, and explaining to the GM of the famed resort why attendees at an event decided to take a dip in the indoor pool…in their tuxedos.

From coast to coast, Francesca’s career has spanned planning for groups of all sizes and her diverse experience in both front-of-house operations and group sales made for an easy transition to her current role event planner for corporate and association clients.

When she’s not busy juggling virtual and in-person events, Francesca enjoys playing tennis, scoring great finds at yard sales and being a supportive pilot’s wife for United and the US Air Force. She calls Richmond, Virginia home where she and her husband live with four daughters and an Australian Labradoodle named Percival.

Megan Baker, CMP, HMMC

For over 20 years, Megan has been in the industry, where she first started planning events for non-profit organizations and then took the leap into the Pharmaceutical world. She has spent the majority of her career planning National Sales Meetings, Incentive trips, board retreats and more.

Megan graduated from James Madison University with a B.S. in Communications and a Minor in Marketing. She is an accomplished CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) and has also earned her HMCC (Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate), solidifying her experience in the planning industry.

When she’s not reviewing contracts at 30,000 feet, Megan loves keeping her mind and body in balance doing yoga, playing tennis and hearing about her girls days over family dinner. She resides outside of Philadelphia with her husband, her two daughters, dogs Murphy and Duke, her male cat “Annie”, 2 guinea pigs, 2 fish….and a partridge in a pear tree.
